About Fieldfine

It all began in the middle of the 1960’s. My family became involved with German Shorthaired Pointers when Kara Von Lictenwood was purchased for my son Allen. Kara was bred to a dog named Blue Chips Bangabird and thus Fieldfine began. The Kara-Bangabird litter produced our first pointed show dog, Fieldfines The Charger. He was last bred back to his mother in attempt to solidify the strong points of the earlier breeding. This produced
Fieldfines Tasha who went on to become one of the Top Ten producing bitches in the breed. Tasha was the dam of our foundation stud dog Am/Can CH Fieldfines Count Rambard, the number 3 sire of show champions in history. Rambard was the top sire for 6 years in a row and an inductee in the GSPCA Hall of Fame. Rambard was the first dog that I personally showed, teaching me how to win and lose graciously. He carved the path for me in the world of dogs.

From the start, Fieldfine has remained a family affair. Raising GSP’s kept my children busy in their younger years. Traveling and showing these fine dogs all over the country opened up a world they would not have known over wise. In the 1980’s, I married Bill Simberlund and thus became Dot Vooris Simberlund. My husband Bill handles the dogs and has titled them in the field and show ring. Dorothea Vooris Hand, the youngest of my 5 children, has campaigned countless Fieldfine GSP’s with great success. The most successful of them being CH Fieldfines Double Barrel, winner of 4 All-Breed Best in Shows and numerous Group wins and Am/Can/Int GCH Fieldfines Back In Action, JH, CGC ROMXX winner of 4 GSPCA National Specialties, multiple BIS's, specialties and group wins.

Fieldfine has bred well over 200 champions to date and remains one of the finest names in the breed. As I start to semi-retire, Dorothea and her family will continue the legacy of breeding and showing quality GSP’s while being guided by myself. You can also see Fieldfine GSP’s shown by my son Keith Vooris and also by my oldest daughter Denine Vooris Shenise.
