It all began in the middle of the 1950's that my family became involved with German Shorthaired Pointers,
when Kara Von lictenwood was purchased for my Son Allen .
Kara was bred to a dog named Blue Chips Bangabird and thus "Fieldfine"began.
The Kara-Bangabird Litter produced our first pointed show dog ,FieldFines the Charger, who was later bred back to his mother in attempt to solidify the strong points of the earlier breeding.This produced FieldFines Tasha who went on to become famous as one of the Top Ten producing Bitches in the breed.Tasha was the Dam of our foundation stud dog American Canadian CH.FieldFines Count Rambard, the number 2 sire of Show Champions in history for many years.Rambard was the top sire for 6 years .He is also an inductee in the GSPCA Hall Of Fame
From The start, fieldfine was a family affair.Four of my five Children were involved in the showing of my wonderful dogs.
The first significant contribution to the breed was an outstanding dog, Am/Can Ch. Fieldfines count Rambard. Rambard was owned by Dot Vooris & Robert Vooris,he was the first dog that I had shown.
This dog carved a path for me in the world of dogs. He also taught me how to win and lose graciously.
Raising GSP'S kept my children busy in their younger years .Traveling and showing of these fine dogs all over the country opened up a world they would not have known otherwise.
In the 80's I was married to Bill Simberlund and thus became Dot Vooris Simberlund.My Husband Bill handles the dogs in the field as well as the show ring.He has finished numerous dogs as well as titling them in the field.
Today FieldFine Kennels is managed by my daughter Dorothea Vooris-Hand the youngest of my 5 children.Dorothea has campaigend several FieldFine GSP's with great success,The most succesful of them being Ch.FieldFines Double Barrel Winner of 4 All Breed Best In Shows and numerous Group wins.
